Meet Xander....

What may look like an ordinary orange foam star to most is Jacks new friend (or replacment cousin)Xander. Xander goes EVERYWHERE with us. Jack takes care of him, gives him naps and baths. Makes sure that he is fed and dressed. He actually has quite a story about him. He apparently has 3 bedrooms, 2 TVs (one Snow White and one Scooby Doo), One blue bed with a pink pillow and one monster bed with a scooby pillow. I'm not sure where he is getting all of this but it sure is funny to watch him. He is very attatched to this little star. He left it at the Church property where we had a picnic on Sunday and I had to tell him a bazillion times that we would get it tomorrow but that Jesus would watch over him while he slept. The first thing he said when he woke up this morning was "Can we go get Xander now" :) Its So fun to watch his imagination grow as well as how he is dealing with his cousins moving away. I would imagine its very theraputic or something! :)

My mom used to watch One Life to Live when I was growing up. When one of the characters was killed off, she became my imaginary friend. Her name was Nina and she had red hair just like me. Though she was a woman, I always pictured her small, shorter than me, easy to carry around. I had a crazy imagination as a kid and I still have a crazy imagination. He will write great stories Sara, I am telling ya- he'll be the next JJ.

That is so cute. I love cute things kids say and do. I used to teach the 4-5 year olds at the Pioneer Club program at our church. One day I asked the kids what they wanted to be when they grew up and one little girl said, "I want to be a mommy if God lets me." How cute is that?!?! She was 5!! And there was nothing in the story that would have even made her say that. It was totally out the blue. Then all the other little girls agreed with her that that's what they wanted to be too. It was precious.

And just one more-- I once told my friend's 3 year old, "Hey, Bethany, I like your shoes." She replied, "Your welcome." :)

I heard a story yesterday about a clients granddaughter. She asked her "Krissa, what comes after 1?" Krissa looked at her grandmother in a disgusted scowl like she was a moron...sighed really loud and said "ALL THE OTHER NUMBERS!" LMAO! I was rolling!!! LMAO!!! She is 3! Moral of all the stories...3 year olds are the greatest!!!

LMAO!!! These Stories are great!! Its great because 3 year olds dont have any sort of filter and they just say things how they see them through their little eyes. OK, the Blood story is hysterical and doesnt surprise me ONE bit coming from Hannah! :)
Hey Girlscout, I'm sending Jack to you so that you can start teaching him to write with the same creativity that you do. I'm counting on him being the next JJ. :) Hey are you still looking into that school in LA?

How cute! I will make sure to show the picture to Xander as well. While the story is sweet, it makes me a little sad. Jack was Xander's best friend and cousin. I know they are both lonely right now. Especially Xander cause he has no friends here yet, and Zoe will be going to school soon. I'm glad to hear all of the good, funny stories about 3 yr. olds, cause usually all you hear is how awful 2 & 3 yr. olds are. They definitely are fun.

Oh yeah, ship him my way. He can do writing exercises with me and watch hours of JJ commentary. It will be fun!

I am still thinking about the school in LA. I need to get a few projects under my belt, write a few things and publish so that I can become a member of the writers guild. Its a process. Start Jack now so he can be worldly at 15.

Sara! How the heck are you? It's really good to hear from you. Your boys are so adorable. It's neat seeing what you're up to these days. Man, I don't even know when I last saw you. Now we both have families-- which I'm sure is weirder for you seeing me with kids since I was a bit younger. I'm glad that you are doing so well! I was actually just thinking of you the other day when I saw this picture
