Happy Birthday Mom!!!!

Today is my mothers 56th birthday and though she is no longer here with us I wanted to acknowledge it all the same. I received a phone call last night from my best friend from middle school who I haven't talked to in a good 10-12 years. She continually told me how sad she was about my mom and how much my mom meant to her. I am always so incredibly surprised on how many lives she touched and how deeply she touched them. It must say something about a person when their pharmacist comes to their funeral. :) She was Amazing!
I also wanted to say thank you to my sister-n-law. My friend Janet asked me last night how I was dealing with not having my mom around since we were so close. I thought about it and I have to say that Its totally God that I have my sister-n-law, Elizabeth in my life. I can call and vent or cry or ask silly questions, and most of all I can sit and talk about my mom with her and know that she feels the same loss. So, Thank You, Elizabeth, for being there....And Thank you, John, for not moving you and your family away! :) OK, enough blubbering! Thanks for listening!
Oh, to John and Lee......Janet Cooper says hello!

You moved your family AWAY from me, Cali is not exactly close! :)How can I be thankful for that?

You were my lifesaver when I was 14 and mom went out of town for the weekend and I was Really sick. You took care of me all weekend. John went to get me a pop up at the school and when he didnt come back after an hour or so you found him playing basketball in the gym. You kicked his butt! See, I am thankful for you! :)

Wow! Thanks for the very public thank you! I really love all of you and have adopted you all as my family...not just as in-laws. I'm proud to be a Fuson. I loved your mom immensely. She loved me in spite of my ways and never waivered. Her love was so unconditional. I'm just so happy that she is no longer in pain and that she is smiling down on us today prouder than ever...you know that she is! Anyway, thanks Sara. I feel really blessed to have you for a sister, and that we can share all of the ups and downs of life together. Even if John drags us away from here one day, it will only be because he HAS to...not because he wants to. I figure if you still like Levi after this whole CA kick, then you'll forgive us too!:-) Happy Birthday Lynn!!

I read this aloud to John and
John says:
"My memory recalls...having to take care of Levi in school even though he was older. I had to kill them all 7 times before they hit the ground." LOL!

"I miss Mom too. I can't believe that it's been a year already. Crazy! Still hard to believe that people keep calling and still don't know. Maybe now Mom's body has caught up with her mind and she's dancing all over the place!
Happy Birthday Mom! I miss you!"

Thanks Sara for visiting. Please drop in from time to time.
This blogging business...is addictive isn't it! I have found your blog now--and will do the same.

Please, if you know of anyone who needs encouragement, support, or just a place to find momentary strength...while they stand in the gap for their loved one...don't hesitate to direct them my way. It is my prayer that God will use this blogging--not just for my personal growth....but for others as well.

Hi Sara,
Found your blog through comments on Diane. Always looking for new ones to read of women or men that have the same interests as me. I lost my mom in 2001 from breast cancer. She was 61. I write alot about grieving in my blog because it helps me deal with the issues and because it might help someone else. I'm sure your mom is smiling down on you from above as she sees what a beautiful life you are making for your family. Know that you are not alone. Stop by and see me sometime.--Cindy
