Happy Birthday to me!

This is my final year that I will be able to say that I am a 20 something. This time next year I will be saying goodbye to my 20s and entering the adult world of the 30s. :) For all you out there who have already crossed over, I am not saying you're old but there is that stigma that just makes you feel a bit older than everyone else. I think we should just stop counting because it gets too depressing. :) BUT, that said, I hear (or at least Oprah says) that the 40s are the new 20s so that would make me like a teenager or something! :) (not that I would want to go back there either) So I guess 29 isnt so bad but it does seem ALOT older than 28 for some reason. Ok, I'm rambling, I'll Shutup! :)
You might ask what I did to celebrate my 29th birthday? Well, Desiree and I took a road trip to attend our friend Birdies baby shower. For any of you who dont know we met Birdie on the Lets Talk Alias blog and, along with some others, have become friends via blogging. Today we got to meet our blogger friend in the flesh and got to shower her with baby gifts for her new spy baby girl! It was a fabulous road trip filled with loud music and groovin in the car and the shower was a Blast!! Thanks Jen! I will post pictures later once Des downloads them. I hope that you all had a great weekend as well!!

HAPPY B-DAY SARA! Sound like you had a good time. So cool that you could go and meet a blogging friend.

I agree that 29 is kind of an emotional birthday. Almost 30! And 30 used to be "old" to me. I'm almost 32 now and I still feel really young. I think it is just a mental hurdle to get over. Now I look toward 40 and think I'd better start getting it together, I supposed to be a grown-up. Somehow I don't feel as "adult" as I think I should be. I used to think when I got "old" that I would be financially responsible and have lots in savings, have a bigger house, etc...I just need more time to grow up!!:-) Just think, when you turn 30 you GET TO HAVE a BIG PARTY and it's a big deal so Daniel has to throw you one! he...he...

We missed you Kendrah but you were there in spirit! You should have seen the adorable little Alias onesies that Des made for the baby. So Cute!

I think a huge party is the only thing that is going to get me through my 30th. :) We should have enough liquor there to keep me distracted. LOL! Its actually not only my 30th birthday but also my golden birthday so its going to be an extra big party! :)

30 isn't the bad one, it's 31...then you're officially "OVER 30." nobody tells you how depressing THAT is so it kinda takes you by surprise! good luck enjoying 29 while you can:)

Jenny,
You're not giving Sara much to look forward to, but I do have to agree. I think I forgot how yucky 31 was. It's like you are past the fun part of oh I turned 30, party, big deal, and now you are 31 and IN your 30's and nobody cares! You're just getting old. I imagine that 41 will be the same! Uhh....that's too depressing to think about. :-)

Sara, just have fun living it up while you are 29. Then stay there!!! Every year, just say you're 29 again. There you go...problem solved!

You know...I'd have to disagree about the whole birthday thing. Leslie Vanhook told me once that..the 20's are good, but the 30's are the best. When you are in your 20's your still trying to figure stuff out. You still don't feel like an adult. You spend all of your 20's trying to get past your teens. When you are in your 30's you are just enjoying life and have hopefully "found yourself". She said that every year just keeps getting better...I believe her. I in no way am even tempted to wish I was back in my teens or my 20's. I love the 30's! I believe with all my heart it just gets better with every year! Birthdays are what you make of them :)

I don't know, Netta. I'm lovin' my 20's! :) I'm sure 30's will be great, too, though.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!
I agree with Sara. My 20s weer pretty dang good. Well, the beggining of my 20s was pretty confusing and dramatic (of course) but the 2nd half I have really enjoyed. I am sure that life does continue to get better but there is that stigma with getting older that just kinda sucks! :) Hopefully I will age gracefully and continue to look younger than my age.

oprah today had on diane carol (age 71 and GORGEOUS) and gina davis (50 and gorgeous) and talked about aging and fun things like mustaches (on women!) and vaginal dryness. nice. makes 31 seem suddenly youthful and vivacious:)

Wait a minute, I'm 25 and I have a mustache!

Sara--You should go to my website and post your predictions about the details of SpyBaby's birth. And also, what the heck have you been up to???? Did old age make you incapable of using the computer anymore? :) (Sorry, couldn't resist....)
