Day #4

Okay, its Day #4 for World Breastfeeding week so I decided to post my own nursing picture. I think that people should be aware that nursing does not have to be something that is immodest. I always hear people talking about how they don't like women nursing in public because they don't want to see other women's breasts. Sorry, but I don't really want to show other people my breasts either. Most women nurse discreetly and I think I do a pretty good job of being an example of that. So, although I am probably preaching to the choir and all, lol, I figure if anyone who reads this has a problem with nursing in public.........plthhhhhhhhhh! I'm so mature! :)

You are so sweet in your comments...just so you know, it's much easier to write than to actually be. Through crazy stuff in life, I've learned, no completely needed, to depend on God, not just as this huge somebody, but really as my Father. Gosh, there are days when I think I am just a terrible mom...From your stories, your mom sounds like such an awesome mom... Thanks for your sweetness and for even taking time to read my crazy stories.

that really is one of the most beautiful i've seen. there are even women, not just men, who are uncomfortable with the "in your face" attitude of some women who choose to nurse. this pic is proof it really is about mom and baby, not being political or "right" or "better". very good post sara!

I can vouch for Fu, she's very good at hiding essential bits. Once Dan and I went over there for dinner, and she was sitting right next to Dan, put Asher on the boob that was closest to Dan, and he never even noticed!

Then again, Dan's not one to be ogling other women's boobs... just mine. ;)

LOL! I have had many a person come up and start to pat my babies head and act like they want to hold them until I figure out a way to let them know that the baby is nursing. Its Very Funny, :)!

question about the logistics of the pic: did you go somewhere and get it done? did daniel do it? is the bar downstairs on off-hour photo studio? what?!

LOL! No, I actually had Des take it at her house. SHe did a great job, didnt she! We had a little nursing photo session on her couch. We just covered it with some black drapes and Whalaaa! That job at the studio has really paid off!
Thanks Des! Maybe I will post the other ones later. :)

Sara Formerly Fuson?

Allow me to be the first and only man to comment to place a comment on this very womanly post.

How the heck are ya? We're doing really well. Still with YWAM, on our way out to California. Long story.

I was so sorry to hear about your mom. "D.B.C." told us all about it when he came back from England.

Anyway, good to see you. I guess I'll have to start blogging regularly now that I'm bumping in to old friends. The internet is a crazy place isn't it?

Oh hey I almost forgot... I can't seem to find Melanie Griffith's IM screenname. Do you have it handy????

LMAO!!!! I almost peed my pants I laughed SO hard at your comment regarding Melanie! Not many people that I know now are privy to the Very extreme facsination I had with Melanie Griffith! LOL! If you notice though I have snuck it in on my banner, she is in the top middle. :) Since then, I have had other actresses that I have aspired to meet but none have lived up to my "Melanie" obbsession! Hahahahaha! I bet anyone I went to Junior High or High School with thinks of Me when they see Melanie Griffith though. :)
ANyway, I am so gald that I was able to get in touch with you! The internet is a Wonderous thing! Keep blogging so that I can keep up with you! :)
